OxO card formatting

Please make sure the microSD card is the correct format, FAT32. If your SD card has an exFAT format, the camera cannot recognize the SD Card. You will need to format the SD card to get the correct format FAT32.

Formatting a microSD card to FAT32 can be done by following these steps:

• Insert the microSD card into the SD card adapter that came with the card if necessary.

• Connect the SD card adapter to your computer by using an external card reader.

• Save all the files from your SD card that you want to keep to your computer before moving to next step. Formatting the SD card deletes all the data off of the card.


Windows

Formatting a microSD card to FAT32 can be done by following these steps:

1. Click on the SD card icon through the Windows operating system.

2. Right click on SD card icon > Format > File type >FAT32

If your PC operating system is Windows we recommend you to use the external software GUIFormat:


Mac

Formatting a microSD card to FAT 32 can be done by following these steps:

1. Got to Applications> Utilities.

2. Open Disk Utility.

3. Find the SD card in the left side of the window.

4. Click the ERASE tab in the middle of the window.

5. Next, click on the Format dropdown menu. Select FAT32.

6. Click Erase.


You can check how the card is formatted as follows:

On Windows:

  1. Open File Explorer:
    • Press Windows + E  to open File Explorer.
  2. Locate the SD Card:
    • Find your SD card under "This PC" or "My Computer".
  3. Check Properties:
    • Right-click on the SD card drive and select "Properties".
    • In the "General" tab, you will see the file system format (e.g., FAT32, exFAT, NTFS)


On Mac:

  1. Open Disk Utility:
    • Go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility .
  2. Select the SD Card:
    • Click on your SD card from the list on the left.
  3. View Format:
    • The format will be displayed at the top of the window.
